The Hospice Shoppe

The Hospice Shoppe is a hidden gem.

For more than fourteen years, the little resale shop on a corner in downtown Henderson went quietly about its business, selling quality clothing, household items and furniture to benefit the Hospice of East Texas.   Donations were steady, volunteers were loyal, and proceeds were reliable.

The gem is hidden no longer!  Moving to a new location in a busy shopping center has boosted the shop’s donations, sales, support and volunteers.  Elaine Walters, Hospice Shoppe Manager, is proud of her team and their work.  “Volunteers really run the shop, and we couldn’t do this without their energy and dedication.   We know that what we do here is about more than sales.   Every time we hear that cash register ring, we think, that’s money that can help to care for someone.”

When you have things to give away, please remember the Hospice Shoppe.  Items can be dropped at the shop in Henderson at 114 Richardson Drive or at the office in Tyler, and if you have a large amount, such as garage sale leftovers, or bulky items, we can arrange for pickup.  Just call Community Relations at 903-266-3400
