Pat Oge Center for Living

The Pat Oge Center for Living is designed to provide a home-like meeting place where people can join with others to build social and emotional support as they journey through grief.

The Bereavement Program of Hospice of East Texas offers support groups, lectures and workshops in the Pat Oge Center as well as in locations throughout our 18 county service area. Find out more about the grief support services. Offered as a community service, these programs are available to both the families of patients served by Hospice of East Texas and to the general public, free of charge.

Towards Memory, a beautiful sculpture by artist Gregory Zeorlin, graces the entrance to the Pat Oge Center for Living.

Towards Memory

From bright light and deep shade
memories of you are released with the breeze.
Quills circle and write your name
in a sky of sun and sometimes rain.

Boulders in a clear stream
or in a river flooding with you,
are touched and polished
by your time on earth.
