Community Education

Hospice of East Texas makes numerous presentations each year throughout our service area to area businesses, community groups, religious organizations, schools, associations, and hospitals.
The Hospice of East Texas Speakers Bureau is made up of spokespersons from our volunteer and administrative staff. Their presentations are as varied as their expertise and can be tailored as appropriate for the intended audiences.   Among our most popular topics are general hospice information, managing grief, volunteer opportunities and end-of-life issues, including advanced directives.

Many community groups have also enjoyed a tour of HomePlace, Hospice of East Texas’ state-of-the-art in-patient facility.   In addition, The Meadows Foundation Conference Room at HomePlace can accommodate up to 100 people, and we are happy to make it available for community meetings.
Please contact us to arrange a speaker for your group or a tour of HomePlace or to talk about the use of our facility.
